Why businesses hire us to install their doors

A commercial door either opens smoothly ten thousand times a year or it becomes a daily headache - sticking, dragging, failing an inspection, or leaving your entrance unsecured overnight. Here's what sets our installs apart.

Licensed & insured, locally

A fully licensed and insured locksmith serving Charleston and the surrounding Lowcountry. Every install carries proper coverage and follows local building requirements - no shortcuts on liability or code.

Family-run Kadosh team

You deal with the same people from quote to final walk-through. Our Kadosh technicians install, adjust, and stand behind the work personally - not a rotating crew of subcontractors.

Certified on the hardware we hang

ALOA members with Mul-T-Lock and Lockly certifications. When a door goes in with high-security or smart locking hardware, it's fitted by someone factory-trained on it.

Code & life-safety first

Fire-rated openings, ADA clearances, and panic-bar egress installed to spec so you pass inspection and keep occupants safe.

What our commercial door installation includes

Storefront & aluminum glass doors

New narrow-stile and medium-stile aluminum entrances with pivots or continuous hinges, weatherstripping, sweeps, and pull hardware - squared to the frame so the glass seals and doesn't rack.

Hollow-metal & steel doors

Heavy-duty steel doors and frames for back entries, offices, and utility rooms. Anchored, plumbed, and prepped for mortise or cylindrical locks and closers.

Fire-rated doors & frames

Labeled fire assemblies installed with the correct closers, gasketing, and self-latching hardware to hold the rating your inspection requires.

Access-controlled openings

Doors prepped and hung for card readers, keypads, and smart locks - including Mul-T-Lock and Lockly systems - with clean wiring paths and strikes set for reliable latching.

How installation works

1

On-site measure & free estimate

We check your opening size, frame condition, swing, and code needs, then give a clear written quote at no charge.

2

Door & hardware selection

We help you pick the right door type, rating, and locking hardware for the traffic and security your space needs.

3

Professional installation

We set the frame plumb and square, hang the door, mount closers and locks, and seal the perimeter - most single openings finish same day.

4

Test, adjust & walk-through

We cycle the door, tune the closer speed and latch, confirm egress and ADA clearance, and hand you keys and instructions.

Before your estimate: 4 things worth checking

  • Is the opening fire-rated? Look for a metal label on the door edge or frame. If it's rated, the replacement and hardware must match the rating - tell us up front.
  • Which way should it swing? Exit doors usually must swing out for egress. Note the current swing and any traffic-flow issues.
  • Any access control planned? If you want a card reader, keypad, or smart lock later, we'll prep the door now so you don't pay to modify it twice.
  • Frame condition. A rusted or racked frame often needs replacing too - a photo of the jamb helps us quote accurately.

Commercial door installation FAQs

How much does commercial door installation cost?

It depends on the door type (aluminum storefront, hollow-metal, or fire-rated), the hardware, and whether the frame needs replacing. We give a free written estimate after measuring your opening so there are no surprises.

How long does an installation take?

Most single openings are completed the same day. Fire-rated assemblies, custom-sized doors, or multiple openings may take longer if materials need to be ordered.

Can you install a fire-rated door that passes inspection?

Yes. We install labeled fire doors and frames with the correct self-closing and self-latching hardware and gasketing so the assembly holds its rating for your inspection.

Can the new door work with card readers or smart locks?

Absolutely. We prep and install doors for access control, keypads, and smart locks, and we're certified on Mul-T-Lock and Lockly hardware. Tell us your plan so we prep the door correctly the first time.

Do you serve both Charleston and Summerville?

Yes - we install commercial doors throughout Charleston, Summerville, and the surrounding Lowcountry areas as a licensed, insured, family-run local team.
